Benefits

Body wraps can be a fascinating experience. Whether or not you are a fan of SPA procedures or just a curious person by nature, we recommend that you try them at least once.

Body wraps have been used as a beautification process since ancient times in the Orient, and they were adopted in Western Europe several decades ago. Herbal body wraps have been the most common. In the past the body was wrapped in linen strips.

The evolution of the beauty industry has led to the invention of thermal blankets or cryogenic blankets, used today.

The result of the body wrapping varies depending on the cream used. While some wraps are designed to thin or tone the body, others are meant to relax and soothe the muscles.

Some wraps are meant to moisturize or strengthen the skin, while others relieve inflammation and help relieve joint pain.

Procedure :

The effects of a body wrapping can be quite substantial. You will feel a sense of relief, like after an outdoor walk in the mountains.

No matter what kind of body wrap you choose, your skin will look velvety and hydrated.

The serums and creams used in the body wrapping, regardless of their exact ingredients, are always super-moisturizing! Hot or cold body wrapping with such creams will only intensify the softening and smoothing effects.

It is recommended to avoid rich meals after body wrapping because the metabolism is activated, and the body’s tendency will be to quickly redone  “fat deposit” excess, that have been eliminated by the effect of perspiration, especially in the case of hot packs.

Good hydration of the body is recommended after the procedure in order to increase the effect of lymphatic drainage of the body wraps.

The person being treated relaxes on the cosmetic bed, in a special atmosphere, benefiting from aromatherapy and melotherapy. At Derma Studio Pipera, all treatments are carried out in a pleasant atmosphere, where you will benefit from relaxing music, discreet light and special ambient perfumes.

Warnings:

Although body wrapping is generally a safe spa service, there are some people who should avoid this procedure.

Women who are pregnant or think they may be pregnant, for example, should not be subjected to any hot body wraps, as this could raise their body temperature to unsafe levels.

People with high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease should also avoid hot body wraps.

It is also good to avoid body wraps and to seek medical advice in case of: metal implant, hemophilia, anticoagulant treatments, pacemaker, epilepsy, relatively recent postoperative scars, cancer, kidney disease, hematological imbalances.
